Jennet is acclaimed in several areas. Trained in the geological sciences as well as classical art, Jennet is an ardent student of all aspects of Nature. Her many bodies of work include, among other things, paintings and drawings of sea and landscapes, equine, dog and cat portraiture, trout and bird portraiture, interior still-lifes of all kinds, and classical figure drawings. A visionary in science and art, her work also includes abstract oils that synthesize art, science and spirit, monumental healing mandalas, and monumental sculptures called "Curative Color Columns". Jennet is always delighted to consider custom commissioned requests for art that is uniquely created for an individual’s home or work space. Inspired by the landscape of Bath County, Jennet painted a landscape of Dunn’s Gap that is proudly featured on the Garth Newel Music Center’s 2006 catalogue, programs, brochures, and website. Jennet’s equine portraiture has won several prestigious awards. Several of Jennet’s equine paintings are currently included in Cross Gate Gallery’s 2007 MFHA Centennial Exhibition traveling around the United States to over 100 cities. Drawn to the exciting geology and verdant hills of the Shenandoah Valley, Jennet has found her "center of gravity". Settled in Staunton, Virginia, she is also developing a young-adult adventure book series on global geology, and a second fiction thriller on supernovas.
