hibernia d·a·g·d·a The Story of Ireland isbn: 50113-11272 It is such a pleasure to find music like this cd. I absolutely love every single recording on this. I find myself 'craving' more of it when I haven't listened to it during the day. The tunes don't imprint themselves on you so that you can't get them out of your mind like some songs do. Instead, they flow within you and allow you to exist within the song itself. I absolutely love the enchanting vocals. I love the intro with water and I found myself restarting the cd over and over again during the day. When friends came over, they found themselves drawn to the flow of these songs. I am not the type of person that usually listens to anything loudly, but I discovered that if you put on head phones or turned the volume up that there was more beauty hidden in the quietness of the moment. I will and have highly recommended this cd to everyone I know. I would not, however recommend it for meditation or healing work, but it is an absolute pleasure to listen to during my day. Especially while I'm writing. I give this cd *****5 stars out of 5. In light, Aleesha Stephenson Earth Trybe Rhythm of the Earth isbn: 50113-30092 I was pleasantly surprised by the first song on this cd. I expected it to sound african from the title and cover. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy a whole lot more of this cd. It's not that I completely disliked this cd, but my expectations weren't met. I expected it to be more tribal. I realize that it says that it contains sounds from around the world but for me it was too different and varied. When I listen to a cd it's because of the type of music, the theme that it carries etc. and I found this cd to be too diverse. I couldn't really find the theme that you attempting to send out. "The Quiet Desert" seemed to be a good choice for meditating and I could see myself 'flying away' with this one. "Celebration" was, by far, my favorite selection on this cd. I loved the instruments used in creating this one. The rest of the cd,--- none of the music really spoke to me. In light, Aleesha Stephenson Sandy Owen One Late Hour With A Steinway isbn: 50113-11152 The piano is definitely one of my favorite instruments. My dad used to play and I grew up listening to him playing for hours. So listening to this cd is very relaxing and wonderful background music for whatever you are doing. Cooking, cleaning, writing, reading........it isn't something that takes your mind away with it, it just allows you to focus on the task at hand and have a wonderful melody behind you. I liked that the compositions she chose weren't ones that are really common, at least I didn't recognize them, so they were able to stay anonymous in the background while I worked. Sandy is very gifted and I would recommend this cd to anyone who has a love for the piano. ****4 stars out of 5 In light, Aleesha Stephenson
