How many Hats are you Wearing? Let the Magic of the Numbers help you work it all out!

How many hats do you wear?

Do you know your true purpose in life and do you understand just the right hat that suits your personality?

With the many hats I have worn over the years, I don't believe I ever really knew who I was or where I was going.

I was a good mother, good sister, friend, wife, auntie, daughter-in-law, employee, employer, author, private investigator, numerologist and naming analyst, adoption mediator, mentor and whatever else I needed to be at the time.

My needs were always at the bottom of the pile, but I was never aware of this until much later in life. I lived my life thinking I had to do everything that was expected of me, simply because that's what you did! I ended up confused and angry, resentful and remorseful. I asked many questions about my life but never came up with any answers until one day I woke up in a hospital bed after suffering a severe nervous breakdown. This was now my time for a 'reality-check'. My inner voice began saying when is it time for me? I don't think I had lost sight of my vision, I simply didn't believe I had given myself time to create my own vision as I was too busy organising everyone else's.

Being the 'good at everything' person, I lived my life filled with expectations from others; never complaining until one day the light came on in my thirties. I knew that I had to step back and take a reality check to see what it was I wanted, who I was, and where I was going to go in the second part of my life. I experienced many physical illnesses brought on by stress and past expectations and knew that if I was going to live to my nineties, I had to get off the roller coaster and change my thought process.

One thing I did know was that I didn't have my own identity. I knew what was expected of me from everyone else, but who I was, was a fog. Wearing so many hats and taking on so many 'roles' in my life changed my identity and blurred just who I was and what my purpose in life really was. The problem for me lay in knowing when to include 'me' in the plan and how to back away from being the full-time 'mother' when my children became independent.

What I do today is assist clients to re-write their own story and learn how to dance to their own music, making it the reality it was at five, ten or twenty years of age, before they adorned their heads with all of the hats. Men and women are affected personally and professionally by the 'many hats' they wear therefore losing their true identity when living life to somebody else's rules.

If you wear a 'business' hat, ask yourself if you have the best business name, best personal name to give you every advantage, both financially and personally. It's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time. If you are discontented about your future, it may be a simple task of changing your name or business name.

The following information gives you an insight of who you really are as an adult and is obtained by simply adding the digits of your birth date until you reach a single number. That outlines your Life Lessons and gives you an insight into your identity and what you are here to achieve.

Eg: 21st May 1960 =2+1+5 (May being the fifth month)+1+9+6+0 =24. Then add 2+4=6. This person is a 6 personality. Another example: 17th June 1988. 1+7+6+1+9+8+8=40. 4+0=4

1 ADULT: THE WINNERS & LEADERS

Independent, active, courageous, original and ambitious. This number is the leader of the pack and likes to be free of all encumbrances so that their independence will can be expressed freely. They will always be called on for help and guidance as other people feel a sense of protection surrounding this person. They work best alone and are usually efficient and well organized. Often a good sports-person, a 1 always likes to be in first place. A loner, their independence sets them apart from the crowd and they must accept this as they do like to stand out and be different.

A negative 1 will have an overpowering ego, which could result in an arrogant, selfish, uncaring person, so watch for that fault and always keep other people's feelings in mind. The 1 has the power of leadership; so don't abuse it as it is a real talent. They are here to carve a new life for themselves and will be extremely successful if their emotions and ego are well balanced. Often a 1 personality stays in a relationship for a long time, because they are afraid to be alone or afraid to be independent. Until complete balance is evident in their life they are unable to stand alone on their own two feet. Oddly, this number is often answerable to their partner, is pushed around, or gives in for the sake of peace. It may take thirty years for the 1 person to find a balance or direction in their life or to acquire enough confidence to speak up for themselves and to make a stand – not necessarily physically, but emotionally. They like to lead from the front and are suited to careers in management, sales, leadership etc.

2 ADULT: THE MEDIATORS & HEALERS

A 2 person gains great satisfaction from helping other people attain their goals and their role is behind the scenes (the power behind the throne, so to speak). They are very intuitive and considerate. This quality is most important in the business field where their talents will help those in power, because of their ability to analyse both sides of the situation. They will be extremely important in a group situation or in a partnership, as this is where they are able to put the talents of the mediator into action. They like to bring people together for a common cause as they are very considerate of other people's opinions. Many careers are open to the 2 person, such as medicine, music, finance, religion, analysis and research. A 2 person is a diplomat/peacemaker, but may find decisions difficult to make as they are always able to see both sides of an issue. Service is a 2 person's speciality, and sorting out problems in a diplomatic way. If negative, a 2 lacks self-confidence and is very indecisive. Over-sensitivity and depression will arise from negative thoughts. Home situations are important to the 2 person as they do not handle stress well and can't work in chaos or a negative atmosphere.

This number belongs to the performing arts and is a person who loves life and loves to be the centre of attention. Fond of travel, they are very talented but must be specific in the challenges they accept in their careers. A 3 is a gambler at heart, not afraid to take risks in life.
