How/when did you discover Reiki and what made you decide to pursue your Master Teacher certification in this healing field?

This started nearly 7-8 years ago, I was over in New Zealand on a working holiday and I was introduced to Ishaya's ascension (www.ishaya.com).

At that time I was not into any alternative / healing path at all, I went on this course out of curiosity.

It was simply a two day course detailing some teachings "Christ" allegedly kept secret to a small few any there just being released now - well I was curious and attended. Well for the first two weeks after the course nothing really was different and I was not using / performing any of the courses techniques on a day-to-day basis. Well on the following Monday I was on my way to work and started reciting some of the things I had learned from the class (thinking they would not work or do anything) ...well 10 minutes later I felt a "massive" energy attack, I thought I was having a heart attack but then after a couple of seconds I realized it felt quite nice - it was weird I had never experienced such a connection I could feel energy pouring into my body/top of my head and around me for a two foot radius (Now I know it was purely the connection with the ascendant...See there website) - well what can I say but it CHANGED my outlook completely on the Alternative therapies etc and that's what guided me into looking for energy based modalities and there my path on Reiki was born.

How has Reiki influenced your life?

Reiki does not really influence your life as such but removes the illusions of it. Once your are initiated into Reiki your are aware of the Divine spiritual power that is freely available to tap into at any time again, with Mastery one can use this energy for anything!

The Reiki principals are very clear-cut and specific. Nonetheless, being susceptible to human qualities, they are not always to live by? How do you incorporate the principals into your life and how do you suggest that your students do the same?

Yes I know and agree well one could say the same about the 10 commandments again I feel these are a "root" guideline that everyone should use if it feels right for them. If one lives by the basic precepts then life seems to flow easier - well that's a good thing in today's stressed out world. Seriously though out of the five below I hold the last one as the most powerful principle when applied...

I know that you are very active on the Internet with your www.reikisecrets.com website where you offer free Master/Teachers certificates in Usui Reiki and Seichim-Reiki. How did you come to the decision to offer Reiki Master attunements at no charge?

Well, over in New Zealand the Initiations were cheap, compared to the UK£, and I was amazed at the cost of Mastery of just Reiki (not to mention Seichim and some prices were still at the $10,000 which I found was just ridiculous as reiki is NOT just for the rich but a divine right for everyone) - that's why I started my site. I offer completely free initiations for individuals as this re-aligns the energy/auric system to be aligned/attuned to the Reiki energy even if they don't know "anything" about reiki its there and helping in the background!

You have written a wonderful Master/Teacher's manual for your students, complete with illustrations and step-by-step instructions. How long did it take you to write this incredible book?

This was ongoing for over 1 year - the www.reikisecrets.com website is purely about the individual being attuned in Reiki I, II and Masters for free. Then they can go and read "any" Reiki book from the high street to get to understand the history and see the different applications in how this new healing art can be used. What I did next was create a website for the Advanced healer or anyone who wants to Master Reiki in all its concepts including advanced energy work. The www.reiki-ebook.com was developed and I started to sell my advanced Reiki manual there, in essence the profits of this e-book help fund all the sites and keep Reiki free as obviously people forget advertising costs money!.

Many writers say that the act of writing what they know also teaches them things they did not know. Can you say the same about your own experience writing your Reiki manual?

Yes, Yes, Yes I found that to be 110% true - even reading your own material makes some aspects of the teachings clearer - I always read any "key" text 3 times as in NLP terms you have to trigger the memory into encouraging that this piece of information needs to be stored - well for me 3 times and that's it - done.

There is a great deal of dissenting opinions among Reiki Master Teachers about how M/T training should take place and who should be given this training. Some M/Ts suggest that no one should accept training from a Master they have not met and do not know. Additionally, some M/T suggest that no Master Teacher should attune a student that they do not know into M/T -- that they must personally know that a student is living their principals before they are taken to the M/T level. Now do you feel about this dissention and differing ideologies?

This is really quite simply, a lot of Reiki Masters have been attuned and have these preset concepts of the rights /wrongs of reiki and initiations...its simply got to political as there are hundreds of Reiki splinter groups and initiations in the West now.

What they all seem to be forgetting is that "everyone" on this planet are spiritual beings purely having a Human Experience and that experience is called LIFE.

Well many mystics/great gurus attain the state of samardi/liberation etc but all that really is doing is aligning oneself with who they really are - The spiritual essence of who they are.

Now lets get back to Reiki and Initiations - Remember I do NOTHING apart from open the doorway to allow the Divine/Source of Reiki to perform the Initiation "through" me - well if some Reiki Masters think that no one can be attuned/initiated unless they are in a 5 feet radius of the Reiki Master well does not that limit the Divine and concept of Reiki and thus render Reiki useless at working at distances, these people do not understand the essence of Reiki and energy as these energies knows NO concept of Time or Space in the Local or Non-Local Universe. Reiki is part of the Divine and the Divine knows no boundaries...That's how Reiki initiations can successfully be done, remotely through a proxy, similar to how I would do a Distant healings etc, today our Reiki community has grown to over 15,000 members and we will be opening up the first World Wide Reiki Association for all Reiki healers www.reiki-assoc.org - This will help Reiki practitioners setup there own clinics with templates of brochures/leaflets etc and sections detailing advanced healing energetic work and modalities such as NLP/Timeline therapy, DNA activations plus loads more. This site is scheduled to go live early March 2003.

Where did you take your own training as a Master Teacher?

About 7-8 years ago over in New Zealand just outside Wellington.

From your experience using Reiki, what advise would you give to those who seek this healing modality?

Search for Reiki in google as there are mountains of free useful information and remember Reiki is a connection to the divine and it can be used for more than just healing as one good use is Reiki and Manifestation using Reiki stacks !!.
