Kindred Spirits: A Community Supporting Recovery and Self Discovery August 21-26 We are all kindred spirits when we enter this world, with more similarities than differences, but somewhere along the way we get hurt, or we forget, and we become separated. The journey of Kindred Spirits is the joy of reconnecting with self, the natural world, and other human beings. With its roots in the 12-step recovery movement, Kindred Spirits Camp encourages authentic expression of feelings, acknowledgment of past pain, and a commitment to balance tears with laughter. Kindred Spirits Retreat At the Kindred Spirits Retreat Gentling Yourself: Recovery from Sexual Abuse; A Body Awareness Adventure for Women Donna Robin Lippman January 6-8, 2006 Being gentle with yourself is not habitual for a woman coming to terms with the legacy of incest or rape. Please bring a journal. Wear very comfortable clothing. Bring along whatever comforts you. Currently Donna offers individual and group work at the Incest and Rape Recovery Center . She also offers low-cost drop-in workshops for women survivors, among them the Healing Circle , the Healing Circle/Dissociation, Collage & Process and various topical workshops.
