Learn to listen to the beginnings and endings in your life!

Earlier in January I did a radio show. I haven’t done a live phone-in show for years. When the call came asking me to be a guest on 103.1FM I laughed right out loud because I knew what that meant. I was delighted when they asked me to make some predictions for 2007 because I’d done some research on the Year of the Boar which starts on February 19th. The whole experience of re-entering a more public life has made me aware of how very cyclical life is. We are either starting cycles or ending them and the longer we are on the planet the easier it is to recognize the subtle events that mark these beginnings and endings.

Another example of cycles in my life is a Rune Stone that I lost 13 years ago and just recently found. I don’t know why I didn’t throw the set away but I continued using it believing that someday I would find the missing stone. I simply made a replacement Rune out of wood and scratched the missing “P” symbol on it with black ink. This Rune is called “Wyn” or “Joy”. It represents “a time to re-evaluate one's plans and goals as darkness has given way to light; a Rune of material and emotional gain, through diligence.” Finding this Rune and being able to reunite it with its original set of stones gave me a great sense of completion and happiness. I feel that I have survived some form of vision quest testing my belief in myself and my feelings.
