Clutter

Clutter is whatever we have refused to let go of.

Understand, clutter is not just about things; we can have mental clutter, emotional clutter, and, of course, physical clutter. Our lives are full of all kinds of clutter.

They are cluttered with what no longer serves us. This may be the clutter of certain clothes, tools, ideas, beliefs. Clutter is what we are afraid to let go of, "just in case" we may need it at some time.

The question to really ask ourselves is: "Is whatever I'm holding on to here serving me?" We have certain habits that clutter our lives - habits of waste, habits of avoidance. We have feelings that clutter our lives - feelings of anger, resentment, resistance. We have beliefs that clutter our lives - beliefs that we are not "good enough", beliefs in complexity and conflict. We have areas in relationships that clutter our lives - areas of withhold, fixing, old patterns.

The thing about clutter is - it blocks the natural flow of energy coming into our lives. Whatever we hold on to, whatever we are not willing to release, blocks the very best from entering.

We are not saying to get rid of everything, for that focuses on the problem; however, we can ask ourselves: "Are any of the things I am holding on to replacing my Source? Are any of my 'just in cases' a replacement for God's safety, support, worth, fulfillment?" We may ask ourselves, "How is any of this serving me?"

If certain energies are not coming into your life, if you are not feeling the natural flow of universal support, you may ask yourself, "What clutter is in my life? What am I holding on to that does not support me?"

This year we invite you to do some clutter release. It is amazing that when we consider letting go on all levels how much energy can come in to guide and support us. When we let go of the clutter of anger, notice how much caring you let in. When we let go of attachments to our beliefs, it is surprising how much connection and understanding can enter our relationships. It is interesting to note that as we let go of what has been second or third rate in our lives, how the very best begins to have some room.

Have a close look at your collection and if some of it is not serving you, be willing to let it go. God offers the very best. Are we willing to let go so God's Best may enter?

For your consideration,
