NEEDAK® Soft-Bounce™ Rebounders
The Rebounders That Support Your Health, Fitness and Beauty.

The Ideal Rebounders for Ideal Vertical Motion Activities for Therapy, Fitness and Fun!

Simply the Best Folding and Non-Folding Rebounders!

Rebounders are not all created equal. In fact, many rebounders on the market today can actually be harmful to your health.

NEEDAK® Soft-Bounce™ rebounders have stood the test of time for safety, efficiency, convenience, and cost effectiveness.

Specifically, this particular rebounder is the best choice, however, some people are swayed by copy-cat, or me-too companies using inferior materials, overseas manufacturing, and retailing at misleading "bargain" prices.

First of all, NEEDAK® Manufacturing is in their fourteenth year of business in O'Neill, Nebraska , U.S.A. , where the Soft-Bounce™ rebounders are manufactured. NEEDAK® uses only the highest quality materials, which have been well tested in the marketplace during these fourteen successful years. Start-up companies lack a marketplace track record to be able to know for sure how their product will perform or hold up over time.

The secret to a soft bounce is in the durable, longer 4-1/2 inch, specially coiled springs that give a more buoyant, shock-free bounce with less effort. Cheap toy models with short, tight springs provide enough jarring at the bottom of the bounce that can, and has, caused joint, back, and other areas of damage to the body. You might as well be jumping on the floor. Avoid models with 2-inch short, tight springs.

The NEEDAK® Soft-Bounce™ frame, hinges, legs and inner springs carry a lifetime warranty. Our springs are fastened with eyebolts that run through the sturdy frame, eliminating wear and tear on the frame. These 36 durable, oversized, custom made, tapered coil springs are warranted for two years.

The Permatron® mat with a five year warranty does not stretch or split, and is resistant to ultraviolet rays and moisture. This fabric has a permanent memory, preventing the sagging experienced over time in the toy rebounder nylon mats. These contra-indicated cheaper toys cause the feet and ankles to roll resulting in eventual injured knees and hips. These toy nylon mats are very stiff when new and cause painful backs to their uneducated users.

Spring loaded legs fold inside the frame, and the frame folds in half, slips into a durable canvas carrying bag, and is ready for transport in the car, or to be checked as baggage on a plane. (Non-folding rebounders with folding legs are also available.)

The portable stabilizer bar used for balance and safety fits conveniently on the legs of the rebounder and adjusts to three heights.

How many rebounders do you want to own in one lifetime? Unless you're looking for another item to sell in your next garage sale, make a Needak® rebounder your first choice. We are sure that it will be your last!! You can look for a lifetime and you will never find Needak® rebounders in garage sales.

A true rebounder is not a toy. It is a professional fitness unit and attractive furniture piece for your home or office. It is designed to be bio-mechanically correct and to promote the body's natural healing. It will not jeopardize your health in any way when a quality, well-made unit like the Needak ® Soft-Bounce™ rebounder is selected and used correctly.

Choose the best rebounder that supports your health safely and efficiently. The Soft-Bounce™ rebounder by NEEDAK® is the best buy for quality. Discover how vertical motion is useful in therapy and physical fitness, flushing the entire lymphatic system in two minutes, strengthening and oxygenating cells, healing, energizing, and lifting spirits. Incorporate regular rebound movement into your personal healthy lifestyle and/or your health and fitness profession.

Experience Buoyant, Non-Impact Vertical Motion!

Two Main Benefits

Rebound movement utilizes the three natural vertical forces of acceleration, deceleration, and gravity to strengthen every cell in the body equally and simultaneously, with buoyancy and less shock to the weight-bearing joints. This feat is accomplished by the triple force that is placed on each cell during the downward bounce. As one bounces, one is accelerating and decelerating in the same plane, in other words, vertically with gravity. During other movements, such as walking, running, and playing tennis, one's acceleration and deceleration are in the horizontal plane. During normal exercise, one opposes gravity with only one force. As early as 1911, Albert Einstein postulated that when the forces of acceleration and deceleration are aligned in the same plane as gravity, the cells of the human body feel all three forces as if they are each gravity. The magic is that the body already knows how to adjust to an increased force of gravity — the cells become stronger.

Linda Brooks, author of Rebounding and Your Immune System , explains that a loaded force is placed on every cell, or, on the down bounce the cells are loaded, and they adapt to this load by becoming stronger.

A weightlifter challenges groups of muscles, the arms with bicep curls and chinups, and the quadriceps with the squat, and so on; however, as one gently bounces on a rebounder, all of one's cells experience the compact triple force, thus stimulating all of one's cells to become stronger — this effect is exerted upon each individual cell of the muscles, bones, liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, veins, arteries, ears, eyes, optic nerves, and even the brain. This cellular strengthening also includes enhanced digestion, reclaimed proprioception, co-ordination and balance, improved core stability and strength of abdominals and lower back, stronger sphincter muscle (to control the bladder), excellent posture, toned skin and facial muscles.

Buoyant non-impact vertical movement flushes the entire lymphatic system, and triples the number of white blood cells during two minutes of health bouncing. Unlike the bloodstream, the lymphatic system has no central organ to pump the lymph fluid. The flow of lymph is maintained by several factors, such as activity, contraction of the lungs and diaphragm during breathing, the movements of the villi and the peristaltic contractions of the small intestine. As one gently bounces up and down, the cells experience a gentle squeezing at the bottom of the bounce, thus pulling toxins from the cells. The change in gravitational pull at the top of the bounce causes all of the one-way valves in the lymph veins to open, thus allowing the lymph to flow freely. At the bottom of the bounce, toxins are forced out of the cells, and as the pressure changes on the upward bounce, toxins enter the lymph veins to be pumped to the subclavian vein, where they proceed to the liver and kidneys to be further filtered and expelled.

Because lymph is moving, and dead white blood cells and toxins are being expelled, the demand for new white blood cells increases. Two minutes of gentle bouncing stimulates the white blood cell count to approximately triple in number. This army of white blood cells works to kill cancer cells, and to clear debris and toxins from the cells for about one hour. After that duration, the white blood cell count reverts to normal; thus, the two minute health bounce can be repeated every hour in order to keep the immune system operating optimally. Rebound movement creates an internal vacuum and provides a forceful flow of lymph along the lymphatic pathways that effectively cleanses all of the cells and cleans the lymph nodes, or filters, as well.

During 1961, a man who was much ahead of his time made an important discovery. Dr. Arthur C. Guyton, author of The Textbook of Medical Physiology , has published research that reveals the most important, but least understood function of our lymphatic system. He states "The return of proteins to circulation is the single most important function of the lymphatic system." Because of the normal pressure of the blood flow throughout the body, there is a small rate of leakage of blood proteins from the plasma. These proteins enter the lymph between the cells, where there is insufficient pressure to return them to the bloodstream. The danger lies in the lymphatic system being compromised so that the proteins become trapped. These blood proteins are normally promptly returned to the blood circulation via the lymphatic system. These proteins sitting in the lymph interstitially (between the cells) enter the lymphatic veins and are then pumped by movement through the one-way valve chambers to the subclavian vein, where they are returned into the blood circulation.

If these proteins were never returned to the bloodstream, death would occur within twelve to twenty-four hours because of the negative effects of the edema state. Proteins that are pushed outside of the blood capillaries will attract water around them if they are not immediately returned to circulation via the lymphatic system. The extra fluid pushes the cells away from the capillaries, causing swelling (edema). These blood proteins become trapped because the normal flow of lymph has been compromised. This situation impairs the transport of nutrients and oxygen to the cells, sometimes so seriously that some of the cells die. When lymphatic flow is impaired, the dead cells, being trapped, can putrefy and send toxins throughout the body.

Rebound motion stimulates the forceful flow of all of the lymph fluid so that the extra fluid in the area of edema is pumped away from the cells and the proteins that are stuck in the lymph are returned to circulation. Tissue cells then return to their healthy position adjacent to each other and in close proximity to the blood capillaries, from which they receive nutrients (food and oxygen) efficiently. Swelling is eliminated, and with continuous vertical motion therapy, the cause of the swelling is also eliminated.

Lymphology in North America is still a closed book to many people, a neglected area of medicine, physical fitness, natural health care and prevention. In Europe stimulation of the lymph flow is the fourth most commonly prescribed medical treatment. The lymphatic system is the garbage collector, the internal vacuum cleaner sucking up metabolic garbage, toxins and excess fluid from the extracellular fluid of every organ. Many viruses, bacteria and parasites stay locked within the lymphatic system when these conditions are present. The result - physical ailments, degenerative disease, hastening of the aging process, even death!

Prevention = Strengthening and Lymphasizing (Cleansing) Techniques on Needak ® Soft-Bounce ™ Rebounders

Make vertical motion an easy, daily preventative habit. Strengthening of every single cell will be experienced so that injuries can heal, sluggish milky lymph becomes clear and free flowing, and the congestion in the lymph nodes is purged with the forceful flow of the lymph. A stronger, cleaner body functions better and provides the environment for healing to occur. There are as many benefits to rebound movement as there are processes in the human body, but of course, healing is individual so your benefits are personal.

Healing Health Bounce : It means just that - bouncing - not jumping, for health and healing. Regardless of one's physical condition and constitution, everyone starts their vertical motion journey with the ‘health bounce' technique. Gently bounce while keeping your bare feet in contact with the mat and spaced about twelve inches apart (remove glasses to strengthen vision). Remember - just two minutes of health bouncing flushes the entire lymphatic system and triples white blood cells. The buoyancy on the quality Needak® Soft-Bounce™ Rebounder will keep you going with minimal effort. A gentle bouncing motion will provide invigoration, cleansing, and strengthening while you lie down, sit, or stand on the rebounder. Pre-natal and post-partum women can enjoy risk free health bouncing.

Start your initial ‘health bounce' with less than two minutes, slowly working up to the optimal two minutes over a period of time. Finding your threshold for the ‘health bounce' is important to avoid over-burdening your system. Time your initial session with the second hand of a watch or clock. If dizziness, pain, weakness or other discomfort occurs before two minutes have elapsed, stop bouncing and note the interval that was bounced. Whatever the time interval, from a few seconds to two minutes, that is your threshold for the ‘health bounce'. Use that time interval every hour each day for up to one week, gradually working up to the twominute session, as you feel comfortable. Gently bouncing for two minutes every waking hour is the ideal protocol for serious health challenges, such as lymphoedema, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, varicose veins, cancer etc. Do a trial run of ninety days, and assess your success. The stabilizer bar can be attached to the rebounder to add security, safety, and balance for those who are weak and unsteady. When maximum benefits have been achieved, one can then revert to the maintenance and defense regimen of about a two minute threshold five or six times per day (for example, first thing in the morning, again before going to work, upon returning from work, before dinner, during the evening several times while watching television or talking on the telephone, and lastly before bed). Listen to your body. Bounce and breathe!

Physical fitness training has an effect upon the following five parameters: cardiovascular endurance (stamina), strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and co-ordination. The following techniques cover all physical fitness components:

High Strength Jump : This is actually jumping while staying light, so that your feet leave the mat. The bottom line here is that if vertical motion strengthens every cell of the body, then to concentrate on building strength, you just jump higher, increasing the G-force on every cell. The elevation and resulting vertical loading of acceleration, deceleration, and gravity creates an increase in the G-force to which each cell of the body must adjust by becoming stronger faster. Bend your knees to jump lightly off the mat from four to ten inches vertically so that you land in the center of the Soft-Bounce™ rebounder. This full out effort is thirty seconds to one minute, with your arms remaining relaxed by your sides. If you suffer from stress incontinence, perform Kegel pelvic muscle exercises as you strength jump to resolve the challenge. (Approximately ten minutes of the ‘health bounce' equals one minute of the ‘strength bounce'). The benefits of the ‘strength jump' are as rewarding as sit ups, chin ups, or push ups, but much more fun!

Cardio Bounce : Versatile, creative and fun, aerobic bounces include rhythmic locomotor movements like twists, turning, dancing, walking, kicking and punching, slalom, wind mills, jogging and jumping jacks. (The rebounder is not designed for performing tricks. Do not jump from the floor to the mat surface.) The 98% shock-resistant Soft-Bounce™ mat gives you cardiovascular fitness with no impact. NASA has proven buoyant, vertical aerobic activity to be 68% more efficient than horizontal exercise like jogging. On the rebounder we can get to the fat burning stage much faster and more easily than with regular aerobic activity. This means that it takes less than half the time to start burn more fat than glucose. In regular horizontal aerobic activity it takes over thirty minutes to burn 10% glucose and 90% fat. You are a better butter burner when on the Needak® Soft-Bounce™ rebounder. Approximately twelve minutes of buoyant vertical aerobic activity on your rebounder equals the average thirty minute horizontal jog on a treadmill.

Your cardio (aerobic) session always begins with a two minute "health bounce" warm up, while slowly elevating the arms above the heart with front stroke, back stroke and breast stroke etc. to gently raise your target heart rate. Follow with the rhythmic bounces, working up to six minutes with an eventual goal of twelve minutes. For your strength component, add your one minute ‘high strength jump'. Cool down with a short ‘health bounce'. The advantage of vertical buoyant aerobic activity is the continuous venous return of blood to the heart. This allows for a very efficient recovery of the heart rate with no blood pooling, which avoids the development of unsightly veins for more youthful legs. Your heart says "thank you!" and you save time with a short cool down session. Pulse monitoring is not required - use perceived exertion. Have fun and be consistent! Remember the music, music, music!

Optional Bounce: This can be a gentle and safe exercise for someone with limited mobility. If they cannot stand on the rebounder, they can sit on the mat and "health bounce." Someone can also assist them in the "health bounce" by standing behind them on the rebounder. A wheelchair user can have their feet placed on the rebounder during this "buddy" bounce.

Versatile, fun, safe and extremely easy to use – with the appropriate instruction – rebounding is finding its place in healthy lifestyles.
